Agus Widya Suputra, Head of the Tourism Marketing Division of the Buleleng Tourism Office, stated on Monday 16 April 2024 that this year they have segmented local tourists according to the instructions of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy regarding the “Proud to Travel in Indonesia” program. This program aims to boost economic activity within Indonesia.
“We have adopted this program with a strategy targeting local tourists. One of them is by publishing tourism content on all social media platforms,” he explained.
Agus explained that the strategy of social media publication has been very effective for them. In addition, they also utilize Google Adsense to target specific locations. The use of the Visit North Bali application also has an impact on tourists accessing tourist attractions and hotels in Buleleng, so with this strategy, tourists are willing to stay longer and extend their holidays.
“As a result, not only have tourist visits increased, but hotel occupancy has also increased by an average of 15-20%. This is a very positive step and will be further perfected in the future to attract more tourists,” he continued.
Among the many tourist destinations in Buleleng, Lovina Tourism is the most favorite to visit. This is because the place is supported by family-friendly recreational facilities, making it more comfortable for tourists, especially those who are already married with families, to stay there. (yud/ub)
